The Rabbitry

It all started with the dream of raising a clean sustainable meat source. Rabbit meat is very lean, high in protein, and has a flavor similar to chicken, but unlike chicken, rabbits reproduce at a rapid rate. Each breeding doe can produce between 120 - 220 pounds of meat per year and are relatively cheap to feed. Rabbits are four times more efficient at converting feed to protein than cattle and need a much smaller footprint. Unlike other animals, rabbits produce cold manure which can be directly used in the garden as a nutrient-rich fertilizer.
